Five Steps to Winning the Abortion Debate
The “Five Steps to Winning the Abortion Debate” written by Marjorie Dannenfelser, SBA Pro-Life America and Kellyanne Conway, KAConsulting LLC is the best advice piece I have seen anywhere. Every prolife candidate and all of their advisers should study it and implement the strategies. The “ostrich” strategy has proven itself as the wrong strategy for many recent Republican candidates in Pennsylvania.
If you are not a candidate, but someone like me that wants to change hearts and minds one at a time, this is also a must read. Individually we do not have to compromise our convictions that all willful destruction of innocent life is wrong and all human life has value and is worthy of protection. It is my belief that the best way to move us toward the ultimate goal is to emphasize the humanity of the unborn child and show ourselves as the party that stands with every woman and for every child. We are the party that helps the woman with an unwanted pregnancy discover that abortion is not her only choice, not even the best choice, and walks with her and her child. The Pregnancy Care Centers all over Pennsylvania must be held up as shining examples of compassionate care. The extremism of the pro-abortion side which only offers one solution must be highlighted. Abortion anytime for any reason paid for with tax payer dollars is not a winning position.
